Sherwood Home Remodeling & Additions
Wine-country inspired builds and seamless indoor-outdoor living for Sherwood West and The Vineyard.
Remodeling in Sherwood, OR
Sherwood’s position at the gateway to Oregon wine country creates a lifestyle that calls for well-built homes. From the expanding developments of Sherwood West to the established character of The Vineyard, Masters Construction delivers wine-country inspired builds and renovations.
We use natural materials, warm tones, and designs that celebrate the surrounding landscape. Kitchens, primary suites and covered patios are the most requested projects here.
Every project starts with wine-country architectural design, so you can walk the design before construction begins. Permits go through the City of Sherwood building division.

Indoor-Outdoor Living Design
Sherwood’s wine-country setting is made for indoor-outdoor living. We design and build homes and renovations that connect interior spaces to outdoor entertaining areas through expansive folding glass doors and covered outdoor kitchens. Vineyard-view terraces and al fresco dining spaces complete the connection.
Every design captures the essence of Pacific Northwest wine-country living.

Gourmet Kitchen & Spa Bath Remodels
Sherwood’s wine-country lifestyle calls for kitchens designed for entertaining. We create custom kitchens with quality cabinetry, natural stone surfaces, wine storage, professional-grade appliances, and open layouts that flow into dining and outdoor spaces.
Our spa-inspired bathrooms complement relaxed Sherwood living.
Custom Builds & Estate Expansions
Sherwood West’s growing market and The Vineyard’s established estates both benefit from custom construction expertise. We build new homes and expand existing properties with additions that integrate wine-country design elements.
These include natural wood, stone, copper accents, and architecture that complements the rolling hills of Yamhill County.
Permits in Sherwood
Residential permits in Sherwood are issued by the City of Sherwood Building Division, with planning review alongside for setbacks, height and lot coverage. Interior kitchen and bath remodels inside the existing footprint typically clear plan review in about two to four weeks.
- Additions, structural work and second stories generally take six to twelve weeks, since they need engineered drawings and planning review. Old Town properties carry additional expectations around massing, roof form and street presence, and newer subdivisions require HOA approval for exterior changes before the city package goes in.
- Masters Construction runs the whole permit track: measured existing-conditions drawings, construction documents, structural engineering coordination, submittal, written plan-review responses and every inspection from footing through final. Because the price follows design and engineering, the permit set and the contract describe the same building, which keeps a Sherwood project predictable.
Sherwood neighborhoods we work in
We build in:
- Old Town Sherwood
- Woodhaven
- Sunset Hills
- the Stella Olsen Park area
- the surrounding subdivisions
Old Town holds the city’s oldest houses on small lots, where added space usually means going up or a carefully proportioned rear addition.
Exterior detail also matters to the streetscape there.
Woodhaven and Sunset Hills are largely 1990s and 2000s two-stories with standard framing. That makes kitchen-to-family-room openings, primary-suite expansions and covered patios efficient projects.
Homes near Stella Olsen Park and Cedar Creek sit close to sensitive-area and drainage boundaries, so we verify those before design. Sloped parcels on the west side of town may need engineered footings or retaining work as part of an addition.
Housing stock in Sherwood and what it means for remodels
Most Sherwood housing was built between the 1990s and the 2010s, with a core of older homes in Old Town dating to the early twentieth century. The newer stock is well framed and code-current, so remodels focus on plan and finish.
Common projects include removing the wall between kitchen and family room with an engineered beam, and enlarging the primary suite and bath. Other common projects are converting a bonus room into a real office and adding a covered outdoor room with heaters and lighting. Panel capacity is usually adequate but worth verifying before adding induction cooking or a heat pump.
Old Town homes are the opposite case, often carrying original wiring, shallow foundations and minimal insulation, and those systems should be corrected while walls are open. Matching siding reveal, trim profile and window proportion is what keeps an Old Town addition from announcing itself.
